Rock Springs Lady Tigers Take Laramie Invitational

LARAMIE – The Rock Springs Lady Tigers were all over the leaderboard as they used a strong second day to take the Laramie Invitational on Friday. Calie Cox led the way again for the Lady Tigers.

With all three golfers in the top ten, the Rock Springs Lady Tigers posted a 624 to beat Laramie by three strokes, 627 to 624. Cheyenne Central would finish third followed by Cheyenne East. Rock Springs trailed Laramie by six strokes after the first day of play.

One week after taking the Evanston Invitational trophy, Cox was again chasing down the leaders. She would shoot a two-day total, 196 to finish in the third spot. Laramie’s Amanda Warren would shoot a 175 to take the title.

Shaylee Zampedri would post her highest finish of the year coming in fifth while Makinzie Havakjold would post a seventh-place finish. Sydney Legerski did not post a score in the tournament.
