ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs Police Department (RSPD) is asking the public for help in solving the case of a burglary and property destruction that took place recently at the Sweetwater County Events Complex.
According to a news release on the RSPD’s Facebook page, on February 1, at 7 am the RSPD responded to a burglary with property destruction at the Sweetwater County Events Complex indoor arena. Officers believe the incident took place in the early morning hours of February 1.
“The suspect(s) caused thousands of dollars of damage throughout the vending machine area and the Ranch Café,” the post states.
On February 1, the Events Complex also took to social media asking the public for help in solving this crime. “We encourage everyone to keep their ears and eyes open and please help us find the individual(s) responsible,” the post states.
According to the events complex post, the arena was closed, but has since reopened.
