Students of the Week
Junior Triston Cachelin was nominated as a Student of the Week by Mrs. Jennifer Stewart. Mrs. Stewart said, “After school, I was hauling a lot of things out to my car. My arms were full with boxes, bags, three coffee cups, and other things. I walked by many people, adults and students, but the only one who offered to help was Triston, who took some of the things and walked out to my car with me to make sure it all made it.”
.
Sophomore Tanasha Moore was nominated as a Student of the Week by Mr. Rick Mitchelson. Mr. Mitchelson said, “Tanasha helps every morning with getting the classroom set up for students. She does this non-prompted and with a smile on her face. Extremely helpful young lady.”
.
Sophomore Heather Goff was nominated as a Student of the Week by Mr. Rick Mitchelson. Mr. Mitchelson said, “Heather comes before school every morning to get my classroom set up prior to the start of school. Heather voluntarily comes in without being prompted with any expectations of reward.”
.
Freshman Chloe Love was nominated as a Student of the Week by Miss Katy Paoli. Miss Paoli said, “I was home sick and her class was not completing the assignment. She asked the students to clean and make sure their ovens were off so the school didn’t burn down. That is something I have said to them and I appreciate how she said it in the kind way I would have instead of yelling at the students.”
.
Junior Paola Gonzalez was nominated as a Student of the Week by Mrs. Sarah Blake. Mrs. Blake said, “Paola moved back from Texas this year and it is such a joy to have her back in class. She is currently my student in one class period and my teacher assistant in another class period. Paola takes her education seriously and is always working hard in my class. She never hesitates to help the other students in my room during her class and during her hour as teacher’s assistant. She jumps immediately to perform any task I ask of her. During both class periods she is in my room, her maturity has pulled up the dynamic of the whole class. She is respected by her peers and they see her as a model student. Students trust her knowledge and experience and know they can come to her for help just as easily as they come to me for help.”
