PINEDALE — The traditional Rendezvous celebration in Sublette County generally brings a large and enthusiastic crowd to Pinedale in early July.

As festivities kick off tomorrow, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Department is asking residents and visitors to join in cooperation to keep everyone safe and sound through the weekend.

Some safety tips the SCSO would like to share with the public include:

  • Never Drink and Drive, find a designated driver
  • If you do drink and partake do so responsibly
  • Watch for numerous pedestrians on Main Street in Pinedale as well as those crossing streets (sometimes not in crosswalks) throughout the weekend
  • Be aware of increased traffic, take extra time to avoid accidents when driving through
  • During the Parade Saturday there will be a detour route for drivers passing through and those who need to get through town. Parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The SCSO wishes everyone a happy and safe weekend as you celebrate the 86th annual Green River Rendezvous.
