Summer Reading kickoff event June 20 at White Mountain Library

Lucy Diggins-Wold gave a presentation during the summer reading events in Green River. She will be the special guest for the summer reading kickoff event in Rock Springs. It will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at White Mountain Library.

ROCK SPRINGS – Join the Sweetwater County Library System for its Rock Springs Summer Reading Kickoff event.

The event will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at White Mountain Library, 2935 Sweetwater Drive in Rock Springs. This year, the summer reading theme is Every Hero has a Story and the kickoff will feature Lucy Diggins-Wold from the Game and Fish Department. Diggins-Wold will show kids how animals are superheroes on the environment. She will also have a lot of cool stuff for kids to look at.

“Lucy is a great presenter,” said Lindsey Travis, public relations specialist for the library system. “She is engaging and really puts together great presentations for kids.”

Throughout the summer the libraries will host summer reading events and other youth programs every week. Here’s a look at the schedule:
