SUPERIOR — Residents of Superior have contacted SweetwaterNOW expressing concerns about the conditions of the town’s roads. On Monday, April 3rd Superior Mayor Roe Miller called to return a message left by us the week before.
Roe expressed her opinion that the roads in Superior are in the same condition as the county’s roads are in general this year. She said that she believes the questions regarding the road conditions boil down to a dispute involving a private driveway that she said the city is not responsible for. Roe said that the town has no money to effect a repair, even if it were responsible.
Roe also expressed her desire that a story about the issue not be published.
She then threatened to have the town lawyer commence legal action against the media for any falsehoods that might be published. She expressed her opinion that after one such legal talking to, the Rocket-Miner no longer covers the town of Superior.
Within an hour a representative from Peterson Legal services called SweetwaterNOW asking if we had any questions for him.
He was told that we had no questions for the town’s legal counsel, as we had already spoken to the Mayor.
If you have information or an opinion about the conditions of Superior’s road or politics feel free to share them with us.
