SWEETWATER COUNTY — Sweetwater County, much like the rest of the state, will be seeing temperatures in the mid to upper 80s today through Saturday.

According to United States National Weather Service Riverton office, many cities across Wyoming will see record-breaking or near record-breaking temperatures today through Friday.

However, some areas of the state are expected to reach the 90s and upper 90s this week. Buffalo and Worland are anticipated to see the highest temperatures with 98 degrees forecasted for both on Friday.

As for Rock Springs, the temperatures forecasted shouldn’t break records, but it will be close. The Rock Springs area will see a high 85, 88, and 85 degrees today, Friday, and Saturday respectively. The records are 87 for today, and 92 degrees on Friday. Both of these records were set in 2012. As for Saturday, the record of 90 degrees was set back in 1977.
