Take a step back in time with Retro Movie Night; RS Civic Center Programs Department recently announced upcoming schedule

ROCK SPRINGS – From Concerts in the Park, to sport camps to the Family Fun Runs, the Rock Springs Civic Center Programs Department provided fun for everyone this summer. The best part of it for parents was these events were free or had a very small price tag.  With the popular summer events in hibernation until next year, the program department has been busy planning several winter opportunities.

One of these events, which has blossomed over the last couple of years, is Retro Film Night. Recently the programs department announced upcoming dates for this unique opportunity. The movies will get under way Oct. 11 at the Rock Springs Civic Center. The movies will be shown in the gym area and will start at 6:30 p.m. and run until the end of the movie. The first film which will be shown on Oct. 11 is “House on Haunted Hill.”

The department said it is a great opportunity for residents to come and see what influences modern film makers and actors. There will also be goodies to snack on during the movie which will be provided by the Civic Center. Organizers reminded residents to bring a lawn chair or cushions.
