Touch a Truck at Rock Springs Family Recreation Center on Saturday June 13

ROCK SPRINGS — Cruise on down to the Family Recreation Center Saturday for the free Touch a Truck Event. The event, which is in its third year, is a great opportunity for the whole family to get behind the wheel of commercial and industrial vehicles. The trucks will be on display in the parking lot of the FRC from 10 am to 1 pm.

Organizations and businesses contributing to the truck display are: Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, Fullmer Trucking, Green River Fire & Police Departments, John Bunning Transfer, Wyoming Highway Department, Tire Den, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Questar, Sweetwater Medics, Bloedorn Lumber, Western Wyoming Beverage, Schlumberger, Union Pacific Railroad, Marshall Truck Repair, Wyoming National Guard, BLM Wildland Fire Operations, Gorge Rock, Homax, Sweetwater County School District #1, Sweetwater County Fire Department, City of Rock Springs, Sweetwater County Fire District #1, Rocky Mountain Power and Wyoming Waste.

JJ Syvrud, Superintendent of Civic Center Programs, said this event is successful because of the many organizations and businesses involved. “We are lucky to have such great participation from the community,” he explained. “The event keeps getting bigger each year. Kids love it and parents, too. I encourage everyone to attend.”
