Trunks, Treats, and Comm(Unity)

Commerce Bank of Wyoming is once again thrilled to be a part of Whisler’s Community Trunk or Treat this Halloween.

Every year local business and community members join together to make a safe and memorable event for kids of all ages. “This event gives the public a chance to interact with businesses they don’t normally see and it shows people that we love our community,” said Lisa Moody Receptionist at Commerce Bank of Wyoming. In addition to gathering, businesses put their best foot forward to decorate their trunks.

“It’s wonderful to see all of Sweetwater County’s creativity on display.”

Tiffany Erramouspe, Loan Assistant

Last year, several of The Bank staff went “all out” to decorate the CBWY area. “Our inspiration for
decorating our trunk was the movie Hocus Pocus” said Alexis Miera Teller at CBWY. “My favorite decoration was our “bleeding” candles,” Miera said. This event is something that Commerce Bank of Wyoming staff look forward to every year. We are excited to see what theme they come up with this year.

Each of Commerce Bank of Wyoming’s volunteers have one thing in common that they love to see when
giving time to this event. The opportunity to see all of the costumes. We asked each of our volunteers what their favorite costume was growing up. Answers ranged from the Cowardly Lion to Wonder Woman.

“Growing up in Wyoming, you tend to appreciate the costumes that are warm,” said Personal Banker Ashton Caldwell. Not only do trunks and children get dressed up for this event. Commerce Bank of Wyoming makes sure the candy follows suit as well.

“The Bank has a tradition of stuffing candy into rubber gloves that the kids love. It is a process that we start at the beginning of October because you truly can’t have enough made,” said Caldwell. The Whisler’s Community Trunk or Treat will be held on October 30 th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Whisler Chevrolet on Foothill Boulevard. Visit Commerce Bank of Wyoming’s trunk to see the creative theme, smiling volunteers, and get a “hand of candy”.
