Twelve Named Champions at Pineda’s Kenpo Karate Tournament

GREEN RIVER — More than 30 students and adults recently competed in the Pineda’s Kenpo Karate tournament. After some tough competition, 12 of them walked away as grand champion winners.

The Pineda’s Kenpo Karate tournament took place at Lincoln Middle School in Green River on March 6. Students and adults completed in forms, creative forms, weapons, sparing, padded swords, grab the flag, and breaking boards.

There were 12 Grand Champion Winners: Jessie Kniep, Trace Erdmann, Davey Pelham, Weston Green, Zane Dixon, Ayden Hill, Hunter Smith, Cris McBee, Cole Gilmore, Devin Bobbitt, Malakie Thompson, and Remington Garvin. Sifu Dean, Jim Dean, Gary Dean, and Ron Rice were on hand to help the contestants.
