LARAMIE – Wyoming Athletics officially announced two future football games on Thursday. The Cowboys will travel to Tempe, Ariz., on Aug. 31, 2024, to play the Arizona State Sun Devils. In 2022, Wyoming will host Northern Colorado on Sept. 10. Both games are single-game contracts.
The Cowboys and Sun Devils have not played each other since 1977, which was the final year ASU was a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Wyoming and Arizona State have played 15 previous times, with UW capturing six wins and ASU winning nine times. The game versus Arizona State is one of several games versus PAC-12 Conference teams that Wyoming has on its future schedules. The Pokes will host Oregon on Sept. 16, 2017, and will host Washington State on Sept. 1, 2018.
The Pokes and Bears of Northern Colorado have played 26 previous times, most recently in 2013. Wyoming has won 18 of the previous meetings, with UNC winning five times. There have been three ties in the series.
Below are Wyoming’s future football schedules. All future schedules are tentative and subject to change.
