ROCK SPRINGS – Students and staff were recently honored at the February Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board meeting. Included was a class recognized by a substitute teacher.

Tyson Young, sixth-grade teacher at Eastside, was recognized by the board after a substitute teacher commended him on the behavior of his students.

“I feel compelled to comment on the behavior of the students that passed through his room. They were incredible. They were well behaved, respectful, and very helpful. As a substitute, I do not know if I have ever experienced so many students from one teachers without having some behavioral issues,” the substitute teacher wrote in a letter to the board.
