GREEN RIVER — The 4A West Regional Basketball tournament is taking place this Thursday through Saturday in Evanston. The 4A west teams will battle it out, fighting for a spot in the state tournament next weekend.
The teams that make up the west region include Green River, Rock Springs, Star Valley, Riverton, Evanston, Cody, Kelly Walsh, and Jackson.
The Green River High School girls basketball team is heading into the tournament as the #1 ranked Southwest team. The boys team is heading into the tournament as the #3 ranked Southwest team.

Green River Lady Wolves 58 Cody Lady Broncs 42
The Lady Wolves beat the Lady Broncs 58-42, advancing to semi finals against the Rock Springs Lady Tigers.

Green River Lady Wolves 51 Rock Springs Lady Tigers 60
The Lady Wolves fell to the Lady Tigers 51-60 in the semi finals. The Lady Wolves will take on Riverton on Saturday in the consolation semi finals.
Saturday, March 7
Green River Lady Wolves 57 Riverton 40
The Lady Wolves beat the Lady Wolverines 57-40 in the consolation semi finals. The win earned the team a qualification to state. The girls will play Star Valley for third place.

The Lady Wolves beat Star Valley, taking third place.

Thursday, March 5
Green River Wolves 52 Rock Springs Tigers 57
The Wolves fell to Rock Springs 52-57. They will move to the consolation bracket.
Friday, March 6
Green River Wolves 55 Riverton Wolverines 53
The Wolves beat the Wolverines 55-53, qualifying for the consolation semi finals Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Wolves beat Cody 74-61, qualifying for state. They will play Evanston for third place.
