ROCK SPRINGS — Dense fog impacting northern Utah has caused flights to be diverted from Salt Lake City. The Rock Springs-Sweetwater County Airport handled approximately 70 passengers who’s flight were diverted there due to the fog.
The diverted flight arrived around 4:00 pm yesterday. The diverted passengers were back in the air at around 10:00 am this morning.
Rock Springs-Sweetwater County Airport Manager Devon Brubaker thanked Sweetwater County School District #1 for providing transportation for the stranded passengers and the Holiday Inn for finding them accommodations.
Brubaker said the assistance from SWCSD#1 and The Holiday Inn was instrumental in taking care of the diverted passengers.
