ROCK  SPRINGS – Enjoy a day with your four-legged friend while supporting the local shelters as the annual Bark in the Park event takes place this Saturday.

There are several new changes to this year’s event. This year the vendors will be inside the park. The Red Desert Humane Society is asking on owners to keep their dogs on a lease because of this. The small dog park will be available for dogs that need to be taken off a lease to run for a bit.

Events include the 5K Run/Walk. There will be an onsite registration at 6:30 am. with the race beginning at 8 a.m. The Long Dog Derby will also be a fan favorite with on site registration starting at 8:15 a.m. There will be pet games, a puppy cake walk and pet care vendor booths at the event.
