UPDATE : The fire is located in the area of Slippery Jim Canyon just off of County Road 9 also known as Little Firehole Road. The BLM is the lead agency in the incident command.

ROCK SPRINGS — According to Sweetwater County Fire District Number One Chief Jim Wamsley emergency responders are on the scene of a wild land fire occurring  south of Rock Springs. The fire is approximately 10 acres in size. The cause is unknown at this time. BLM & Sweetwater County Fire District 1 crews are on scene along with three engines and two tenders.
