In lieu of their annual Pepsi’s Packing Out Hunger Event, Western Wyoming Beverages will donate 1 meal for every case of Pepsi sold in January to the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, Western Wyoming Beverages was unable to host their annual Pepsi’s Packing Out Hunger event in December. The annual event aims to reduce food insecurity in Wyoming by partnering with The Pack Shack and the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies to pack and distribute pre-packed meals to local food pantries throughout Western Wyoming. Over the last three years, Western Wyoming Beverages has donated over 130,000 meals to the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies to help families in need.
Check out the video below of the 2019 event.
Over 55,299 meals were packed!
Unfortunately, we were unable to host our annual Pepsi’s Packing Out Hunger event this year due to COVID-19, however, we realize the need in our communities still exists, and if anything has grown. We have partnered with our friends at The Pack Shack to pack the meals in Ohio and ship them to us to allow us to still provide these nutrient rich meals to the Wyoming Food Bank of the RockiesAdvertisement - Story continues below...–Sean Valentine, CEO, Western Wyoming Beverages
Hunger in Wyoming continues to persist with 1 in 8 adults and 1 in 6 children struggling with hunger. Often, hunger can be found where you least expect it. The homeless population represents only about 10% of Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies food recipients, with everyday people like low wage workers, children, seniors on fixed incomes and individuals with health issues also in need. This year instead of the annual Pepsi’s Packing Out Hunger Event, Western Wyoming Beverages will donate one meal for every case of Pepsi sold during the month of January to the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies.
The call to action is simple – all we’re asking consumers throughout Western Wyoming to do is buy Pepsi! When consumers buy a Pepsi, we will donate a meal for every case sold. It’s that simple! We’re proud to be a local Wyoming based business supporting local jobs and our local community; when you buy Pepsi, you’re supporting all of that and in addition we’ll throw in a meal for the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies.–Sean Valentine, CEO, Western Wyoming Beverages
