GREEN RIVER — Members of Cub Scout Pack 312 got to meet with Green River Mayor Pete Rust Monday, February 24.
After meeting with Mayor Rust, Rust gave the Scouts a tour of Green River City Hall. Once the tour was over, Rust sat down with the Scouts in the Green River City Council chambers to teach them about what his and the Council’s responsibilities are and how they conduct business. He also explained how the Council discusses current issues the community is facing.
The Scouts learned a lot of valuable information about how a city is run from Mayor Rust and wanted to thank him for volunteering his time to speak with them. By doing so, Rust helped the Scouts complete requirements for a rank advancement.
