Department of Workforce Services to hold employer information seminar in Rawlins on July, 11

RAWLINS – The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) will host an Employer Information Seminar in Rawlins on July 11, at Carbon County Higher Education Center’s Vocational Campus (812 E. Murray Street).

The public seminars feature agency program subject matter experts and are aimed at helping Wyoming employers enhance their knowledge regarding important law changes, improving workplace safety and many other programs and processes that are pertinent to the state’s employers. The seminar will focus on workforce training programs, OSHA consultation, unemployment insurance taxes, claims and appeals, workers’ compensation requirements, labor standards, risk management, labor market information and more.

“Employer Information Seminars are a great resource for all employers — those who are just starting out, and for those who have been in business for many years,” said Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Joan Evans. “These seminars provide valuable information on important law updates, how to better navigate regulatory obligations and ways to improve working conditions for your employees. DWS looks forward to connecting with businesses from Rawlins and surrounding communities. We hope to provide them with helpful tools they can use to benefit their employees and their business operations.”
