Governor Orders Wyoming Flags Flown at Half Staff in Honor of Don Van Matre

The State of Wyoming flag will be lowered to half mast today in Sweetwater County and the Capitol Building in Cheyenne in honor of former commissioner Don Van Matre.

CHEYENNE — Governor Mark Gordon has ordered the State of Wyoming flag be flown at half staff at the Capitol in Cheyenne and in Sweetwater County from sunrise to sunset on May 6, 2019 in honor of former Green River Mayor and Sweetwater County Commissioner Don Van Matre.

Van Matre passed away May 1 following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 76 years old.
