Green River City Council to Consider Approval of CARES Act Requests

GREEN RIVER — The Green River City Council will consider approval on four separate Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act requests for the City of Green River during their Tuesday night meeting.

The Green River City Council will meet Tuesday, November 17, at 7 pm at Green River City Hall.

In March 2020, the Federal Government passed the CARES Act, in which funds were issued to the states to distribute in accordance with the Act. The Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board is administering the distribution of funds for the State, Local and Tribal governments.

The first request is for $48,335 for new technology, cleaning supplies, and personal protective equipment.

The second request up for approval is for cleaning personnel in the amount of $27,588. The third approval is for $25,084 for leave as required for the Families First Coronavirus Act.

The final request is for time that city employees served on the County Emergency Operations Command Team for the Coronavirus Pandemic, in the amount of $12,526.
