CHEYENNE — Jeanette Joyce Motichka, 96, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. A resident of Cheyenne for the late six years and former long time Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Motichka had been in ill health for the past few years.
She was born on December 18, 1917, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Timothy Joseph Joyce and Mary M. Sheridan Joyce.
Mrs. Motichka attended schools in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School with the class of 1935. She attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s College in 1936 in Adrian, Michigan with a Secretarial Degree. She also attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1942 and obtained a Bacelor of Arts Degree.
She married Andrew Motichka in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming on November 25, 1943 and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1987.
Mrs. Motichka was employed as a teacher in Mountain View, Wyoming and Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1961 she was the Manager of Sweetwater Federal Credit Union and worked there until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and close family friends; she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andy, two sisters, and five brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway, Rock Springs, Wyoming.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the church. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and on Tuesday morning one hour prior to services.
