Verion Lee Brangham, 80, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend was in her home surrounded by loved ones when she left for heaven on August 13, 2026.
Born in Murray, Utah, December 21, 1945. She was the daughter of Gilda Anson Bartlett and Eugene Ray Bartlett. Raised in Green River with her parents, one brother, and two sisters. She attended Green River High School where she met Oliver Pat Brangham, her husband of 64 years.
They were married on April 23, 1962 in Paris, Idaho. Verion built a beautiful life in her home where she lived for over 60 years, and raised her five children, Roni, Kim, Matt, and twins Bart and Brett. She also welcomed many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and was affectionately known as “great”.
She attended cosmetology school in Rock Springs and became a licensed beautician. She spent a number of years as owner of Ver’s Styling Stop in Green River. Later she discovered another brother, Jim Rasmussen, with whom she became very close. She was adored by her aunts and cousins, in Salt Lake City, she was their “Snooks”.
She enjoyed spending time with family, especially loving on her babies. She also spent time with family at the shack, their property in Atlantic City. Some of her many talents included gardening, canning, cooking, baking bread, crocheting, and quilting baby blankets. She loved the beauty of nature, wolves, the moon and everything purple. She was “mom” and “grandma” to many young friends, neighbors, and friends of kids and grandkids.
She was a one of a kind, fun, and beautiful soul that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Oliver Pat Brangham, daughter Roni Dale and husband Jake Dale of Rock Springs, daughter Kim Brangham Smith of Elko, Nevada, son Matt Brangham of Green River, son Brett Brangham of Rock Springs, daughter-in-law Seana Brangham of Price, Utah, 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her longtime and truest friend Dorothy Shoup, also her dog and loving protector Sydney.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother Jim Rasmussen, and son Bart Ray Brangham.
