GREEN RIVER – After a decisive win to open this weekend’s Southwest Invitational in Green River, the Rock Springs Lady Tigers continued to roll in the second game of the day as they blanked Lander, 3-0. With the win, the Lady Tigers moved into Saturday’s semifinals.

It did not take long for the ladies to get on the board. Alyssa Bedard found Annika Syvrud three minutes into the game to give Rock Springs the lead. The Lady Tigers struck again in the first as Ali Lange was able to get behind the defense and score before the end of the half as Rock Springs took a 2-0 lead.

Just two minutes into the second half, the Lady Tigers added an insurance goal Kristin McCrann followed a missed shot and put it in the back of the net to extend the lead. That would be how it ended with Rock Springs moved into the semifinals with another shutout.

Rock Springs returns to the field on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. as they face Worland. The Lady Warriors beat Newcastle, 7-0, and followed it with a win over Buffalo, 2-1. Saturday’s game will be at the field at Green River High School.
