ROCK SPRINGS – How many events would not be successful without the work of the volunteers? For her hours of volunteer work on several events. the city of Rock Springswould like to recognize Rock Springs resident Laurie Loerzel-Guffey Griffin for this week’s Resident Spotlight.

Laurie has been an active volunteer in our town for many, many years. Last week, she assisted at the National High School Finals Rodeo and next week, she will give many hours of her time helping at Wyoming’s Big Show – The Sweetwater County Fair.

These aren’t the only things Laurie helps out with in our community. She has volunteered hundreds of hours helping organizations such as Cowboys Against Cancer, Ducks Unlimited, Rock Springs High School, Westridge Elementary and the list goes on. In addition, she has helped organize several fundraisers to help residents who needed special medical care. Hats off to you, Laurie, for making Rock Springs a better place.
