ROCK SPRINGS – One local businessman recently stepped up to help with costs and give wrestlers at Western Wyoming Community College every opportunity to succeed.
Attorney Lenord Kaumo and Kaumo Law Offices recently donated $2,500 to the WWCC wrestling team. Head Coach Art Castillo thanked Kaumo for his donation which will help with different expenses throughout the year.
“ I can’t thank Mr. Kaumo enough for his donation to the team,” Coach Castillo said. “One of the cornerstones of our wrestling program is connecting with our community and we look to continue building relationships every year. As our program grows, so do the needs, and ultimately the cost of operating. For instance, being one of the top teams in the country, we travel to the National Duals (top 16 teams in the country) each year which comes with a hefty budget requirement. It is without question that a donation of this size goes a very long way for our program. The experience of competing at the highest level the sport offers, allows our young men to be exposed nationally and also serves as a great learning experience for our student-athletes and we are extremely grateful”
