ROCK SPRINGS – This week, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County announced that they are nearing completion on Phase I of their Medical Office Building (MOB) project. Phase 1 includes the 1^st and 2^nd floors of the 80,000 square foot MOB that will be the home of the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, Addiction Medicine, ENT-Otolaryngology, and Nephrology clinics of Memorial Hospital.

Jerry Klein, CEO of Memorial Hospital says, “We have received some information from our project manager that the floors are now ready to be installed in mid-January. After that, we will begin the process of deep-cleaning those areas for inspection before we can get everything moved in. We are anticipating that occupancy will be around the end of January or early February.”

Phase 2 of the MOB project, scheduled to be completed between March and April 2014, will include the full-service Cancer Treatment Center on the lower level and then the 3^rd floor, containing the 8-chair Dialysis unit and some other local physician offices.

Gary Collins, PR & Marketing Director of Memorial Hospital says, “We are looking forward to getting all of our services here on one campus. That will allow our patients to see their providers at the medical office building and just walk down the hallway to the laboratory or medical imaging department if they need to have some tests done. It will be more convenient for the patient as they won’t have to drive to a separate facility.”
