Monte Clinton Evans (March 9, 1973 - July 31, 2026)

Monte Clinton Evans, 53, passed away on July 31, 2026 in Salt Lake City.

He was born on March 9, 1973 in Rock Springs, the son of Edward Evans Sr. and Marilyn Evans (Ainge).

Monte graduated from the Rock Springs High School with the class of 1994 before he began working in the oil field until his retirement on November of 2019 after 28 years.

He married Barbara Graham in Rock Springs on July 11, 2010.

Monte enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting, and boating. He could also be found woodworking, gaming, watching war documentaries, and movies. Above all else, Monte loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Evans of Rock Springs; mother Marilyn Evans of Rock Springs; sons Jacob Lord of West Valley City, Utah, Ian Lord of Japan; daughters Donavan Foster of Green River, Montana Moss of Rock Springs; brother Edward Evans Jr. also of Rock Springs; grandchildren Braylynn Prevedel, Blaze Leaf, Bjorn Moss, Waylon Lord; as well as several loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Evans Sr., sister Victoria Madura, and brother Danny Evans.

Cremation will take place and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
