ROCK SPRINGS – The City of Rock Springs issued the following notice today:
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ward IV City Councilman Glenn Sugano. Mr. Sugano was the Director of Engineering and Operations from 1979 to 1998. During that time he was influential in the construction of the Family Recreation Center, Blairtown Park, Veterans Park and The Depot.
More recently Mr. Sugano was the Councilman of Ward IV from 2011 to present. In this capacity he also served as the Chairman of the 6th Penny Joint Powers Board. “Mr. Sugano was an integral part of our City Council Team. He was dedicated to making the City a better place to live”, Mayor Carl Demshar said. The sentiment from many employees is that Mr. Sugano was a man of integrity and commitment. Mr. Sugano will be missed by those who had the opportunity to work with him.
Services will be held at the Broadway Theater on Wednesday, November 6th at noon. Cards may be sent to his sister, Linda Roper at 1359 Sage Court, Rock Springs, WY 82901. Memorials in Mr. Sugano’s honor may be sent to the Rock Springs Human Society at 310 Yellowstone Road, Rock Springs, WY 82901 or a charity of your choice.
