GREEN RIVER — Green River Police Department (GRPD) officers arrested Joanna Clement of Rock Springs at approximately 6:45 Tuesday night after she fled police following a report of domestic assault.

According to the GRPD daily incidents report, officers responded to a report of a disturbance Tuesday night in which they met with an individual who reported a domestic assault. Officers gathered information and made phone contact with Clement, who was the other involved party. Clement had left in a vehicle prior to the officers’ arrival.

Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle did not stop and officers began a pursuit. In an alleged attempt to elude officers, Clement entered I-80 on the westbound ramp, and the vehicle then left the north side of the roadway and struck a delineator post. The vehicle proceeded off the road downhill into the borrow pit area, and came to rest after impacting a small dirt mound.
