CASPER – Several regional coaches will join the 2017 Shrine Bowl as the assistant coaches were recently named. Farson-Eden’s Marvin Applequist and Mitch Espeland of Pinedale will join the South squad.

Pine Bluff coach Will Gray will lead the south and announced his selections for assistants. They include Pat Fackrell of Evanston, Corey Wheeler of Rawlins, Mitch Espeland of Pinedale and Marvin Applequist of Farson-Eden.

Joining the North squad is Jason Gill and Vic Wilkerson of Gillette, Pat Patterson of Riverton, Marty Wrage of Greybull and Matt Jensen of Meeteetse. The North squad will be led by Tongue River’s John Scott.

These coaches will now begin selecting the 36 participants for their respective teams which will be announced later this springs.

The 44th annual game will take place in Casper on June 10 at Natrona High School in Casper.
