#TryWY: IVita Drip Therapy – A Viable Option for Healthy Living

Welcome to TryWY!

We are fortunate to live in a state that offers such a diverse range of products and activities, so I’m trying some of them out and letting you know what we think you should “Try in WY.”

When you first hear mention of “IV Hydration” your thoughts initially might run rampant with ideas of futuristic medical treatment and many questions, I can personally verify that you are not alone.

Although the idea made me hesitant at first, after researching the process and learning the potential benefits that “drips” offer, I felt more comfortable with the idea and decided to try it.

From the moment I walked in the door, it was clear that the environment in IVita Drip Therapy is intentionally calming. Where the drips are administered there is comfortable seating and even soft blankets. The staff greeted me with a smile and the necessary paperwork before starting my drip. Thanks Mariana!

What is a Drip?

Simply put, a drip is a health-enhancing bag of fluids that delivers vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly to the body for maximum absorption.

Who Can Benefit from a Drip?

Drips are beneficial for a wide range of individuals.

The Registered Nurse, Mariana, explained to me that IV drips are used to put vitamins and nutrients in the blood stream. Since most of us don’t eat a 100% organic, unprocessed diet it is likely that most of us are deficient in one or more vitamins or nutrients.

IV hydration can allow you to balance out deficiencies as well as regain balance in your body and provide relief of a variety negative physical side effects.

IVita therapies provide essential fluids, electrolytes, vitamins and antioxidants to treat the following:

  • Dehydration
  • Low energy or fatigue
  • Athletic and muscle recovery
  • Hangovers
  • Anti-aging Skin and Beauty therapy
  • Migraine and Headache relief
  • Weight Loss
  • Altitude Sickness and Breathing
  • Wellness

Do I need be sick to drip?

According to the Ivita staff, you don’t necessarily need to feel bad to drip.

For example, the “Radiance” drip that I tried was enriched with Glutathione, Vitamin C and Zinc which are aimed at enhancing your skin and hair by simply providing a boost of those beneficial vitamins and minerals.

Drips are an efficient and effective way to receive treatment when there is something ailing you. Whether it’s a hangover, asthma, or seasonal allergies many ailments that are similarly treated at traditional facilities can alternatively be treated at IVita for an up front out-of-pocket fee.

The Process

After a filling out a short amount of paperwork, the friendly staff allowed me to choose a comfortable spot and started the drip for me. Although I (like most of us) am not a huge fan of needles myself, I found the process fast and fairly painless overall.

A drip is estimated to take roughly an hour but varies from person to person. From start to finish my experience lasted roughly 45 min.

During the drip I was offered reading materials and a snack (much to my delight) while I waited for the IV to finish.

As soon as the bag of fluids had finished doing its thing, I was unhooked and back to work in no time.

Post Drip

Although once my Radiance drip was finished I didn’t immediately notice wind blowing through my hair or birds chirping; throughout the rest of the day I did pay close attention to my body to see if I noticed a change in my skin or hair.

Like most of us I have been victimized by the dry skin that accompanies our harsh Wyoming winters and can say that I was able to notice some relief from that after the drip. While my skin typically feels tight and dry at the end of the day, it felt markedly more comfortable and moisturized.

The Takeaway

After my experience I can say that Drip Therapy is a valuable and unique resource that we are fortunate to have access to in Sweetwater County.

Wellness is important. Feeling good is invaluable. – Ivita Drip Therapy is a customize-able service that can efficiently help achieve both things for a variety of people in our community. I say, give it a try!
