SUBLETTE COUNTY — Today, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) released body cam footage of a man being rescued from a truck that was in the Green River near Big Piney on Sunday.
According to a press release sent from the SCSO yesterday, on December 27, at around 10 pm a call came into Sublette County Dispatch that a truck was in the Green River near Reardon Draw, which is South of Big Piney.
SCSO deputies, EMS, and Sublette County Unified Fire immediately responded. With reports of the vehicle partially submerged in the icy water with the driver still in it, TipTop Search and Rescue (TTSAR) members were paged to respond, as well.
The 8 minute-long video shows how rescue teams made their way to the vehicle to rescue not only the driver, but his two dogs.
A SCSO deputy can be heard talking to the driver while waiting for the fire department and ambulance personnel to arrive. The deputy gives the driver instructions so he’s ready when the fire department arrives.
