ROCK SPRINGS  – The Sweetwater Events Complex volunteers are truly the “stars” of the National High School Finals Rodeo, whose duties shine into the night hours and run ten days to make sure the event and contestants are ready to rodeo.

During last year’s National High school Finals Rodeo, 471 volunteers donated 5,046 hours. This year’s event is scheduled to take place July 13-19, 2014; however, the Sweetwater Events Complex needs volunteers to begin working on July 1.

During the Finals itself, volunteers are needed to check-in horses, contestants, and RV’s as well as to sell tickets, collect tickets, and help with information booths. Volunteers will need to complete a mandatory training session. While no specific skills are needed, people who are friendly, helpful, and solution-orientated are especially appreciated. Those folks who are knowledgeable of Sweetwater County, and can help direct contestants and guests to various locations and attractions around the area are also needed. Additionally, volunteers with horse and livestock knowledge are always appreciated.
