Wyoming Chronicle To Feature Sweetwater County Trona Industry This Weekend

SWEETWATER COUNTY — The Wyoming PBS feature show “Wyoming Chronicle” will be airing a half-hour documentary on the trona industry in Sweetwater County over the weekend.

The show will air tonight at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 6:30 p.m., and once more on Sunday at noon on the WyomingPBS network.

Wyoming PBS Public Affairs Producer Craig Blumenshine brought a crew to southwest Wyoming and spent several days filming the documentary.

Craig Rood, Director of Public Relations and Government Affairs at Ciner’s Big Island Mine, was interviewed throughout the documentary talking about the history and future of the industry.
