WYOMING – The public health officers from each Wyoming county have formally sent a letter to Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, asking him to enact a statewide mask mandate in the face of what is believed to be an uptick of COVID-19.
We understand that there is a mechanism for each county to individually mandate a mask ordinance. However, this would take considerably more time and would likely be less consistently achieved. We feel that a statewide mandate sends a more powerful and effective message in a more timely manner.
Governor Mark Gordon will be holding a press conference tomorrow afternoon to discuss COVID-19 updates, along with State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist.
