Wyoming Highway Patrol In Competition For Best Looking State Patrol Car

WYOMING — In some states they are called cruisers, others refer to them as squads. In the Cowboy State they are referred to as a patrol car.

A state’s Highway Patrol, State Police or Department of Public Safety not only protects and serves everyone in their state, but also serve as representatives and ambassadors for their state on a daily basis. These agencies are most commonly associated with the unique design schemes of their patrol cars.

The American Association of State Troopers (AAST) is conducting their “Best Looking Cruiser” contest and the Wyoming Highway Patrol is looking to win the friendly competition between state agencies. The competition is a fun way to allow community support and interaction with law enforcement in a positive manner.

Four different WHP patrol cars from different areas of the state were posted for voting. The voters spoke and a 2015 Dodge Charger at the Vedauwoo Turtle Rock Trail in the Medicine Bow National Forest east of Laramie won.
