46 Year-Old Wheatland Resident Victim of Fatal Wreck

WHEATLAND — A fatal crash west of Wheatland, Wyoming on May 15th has resulted in the death of 46-year-old Wheatland resident Gregory Taylor. The crash occurred at 3:00 a.m. on the 15th near milepost two on Wyoming State Highway 311 approximately four miles west of Wheatland.

Taylor was driving a 2002 Ford F-250 pickup truck traveling north on WY 311 when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the highway. The Ford left the road to the east where it tripped and rolled. Taylor was wearing his seat belt, but still sustained fatal injuries on scene.

Alcohol use and driver fatigue are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash that marked the 16th highway fatality in Wyoming for 2016. There were 46 highway fatalities in Wyoming during this same period in 2015.
