GREEN RIVER — The University of Wyoming swimming and diving teams will return to Green River on Friday for their annual outreach dual against Utah, bringing the Cowboys and Cowgirls to the Green River High School Aquatic Center for a 2 p.m. meet.

Friday’s competition will mark the third consecutive year Wyoming has traveled to Green River to face the Utes, giving local swimming fans an opportunity to watch the collegiate teams compete in their community.

The Cowgirls will look to repeat last year’s performance against Utah, when Wyoming earned a 172-128 victory. The Cowboys, meanwhile, will look to rebound after falling to the Utes 196-104 in last year’s dual.

University of Wyoming sports coverage in Southwest Wyoming is supported by these great sponsors:

Wyoming enters the meet after sweeping Air Force in a men’s and women’s dual Oct. 10 at the Wyoming Aquatic Center in Laramie. The Cowboys won 178-22, while the Cowgirls secured a 163-137 victory over the Falcons.

The Pokes protected their home pool in the season’s first dual meet at the facility, setting 18 pool records and winning 21 of the 32 events contested across the men’s and women’s competitions.

The meet against Utah will give both Wyoming teams another opportunity to build momentum early in the season while continuing the program’s outreach efforts beyond Laramie.

The dual is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Green River High School Aquatic Center. Live results will be available through the MeetMobile app.
