GREEN RIVER – After blanking Evanston on Thursday night, the Rock Springs Lady Tigers made it three shutouts in a row as they opened the Southwest Invitation in Green River with a 3-0 win over Powell.

The Lady Tigers dominated the action throughout and scored their first goal with 12 minutes left in the half. After scoring two goals on Thursday, Alyssa Bedard put the first goal on the board. Kristin McCrann found Bedard who headed it past the goalie for the 1-0 lead.

The Lady Tigers scored their second goal in the second half with nine minutes left in the game. Alyssa Graham found an opening to put the Lady Tigers up 2-0. With seconds left in the game, Annika Syvrud scored the Lady Tigers third and final goal of the game.

Rock Springs returns to the field at 6 p.m. at Wolves Stadium. They play the winner of the Douglas/Lander matchup.
