ROCK SPRINGS — Residents will have a chance to hear from candidates seeking election to the Western Wyoming College Board of Trustees tonight as part of a series of debates and forums hosted by the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce.
The event starts at 6 p.m. in Room 1302 at Western’s Rock Springs campus.
There are four seats available on the board, all of which entail a full four-year term, though only one seat is being contested. The at-large board seat features a race between Troy Archuleta and Lindsey Travis, while the two seats representing Sweetwater County School District No. 1 are sought by incumbent James Jessen and Jackie Freeze. The lone seat representing Sweetwater County School District No. 2 is being sought by Stacey Nelson.
The General Election takes place Tuesday, November 3rd.
