On Saturday, Aug. 16th residents can make their way to Bunning Park for a full day of music and fun for the 8th annual Sweetwater Blues n’ Brews Festival.

This year’s festival is put on in partnership by the Rock Springs Urban Renewal Agency/Main Street and YAP -Young and Professional of Sweetwater County. This has been their biggest fundraiser of the year with money going back into the beautification of the downtown area. Admission is $5 for the full-day event.

With an event this big, a lot of volunteers and sponsors make it happen, so be sure to thank them! There are also a few volunteer positions available if you’d like to help. Just create your login here to view the open time slots.

Gary Collins, YAP Board President and co-founder of the Sweetwater Blues n’ Brews said, “We are really excited for this year’s Blues n’ Brews. By partnering the URA and YAP together on this event we have had a lot of success in securing new sponsorships, more brewers, and still keeping the event the same as people have been used to in the past. We couldn’t do this without the support of the URA, the City of RS, and our gracious sponsors. We hope to see everyone there!”
