SWEETWATER COUNTY — Gil German recently announced his candidacy for the Western Wyoming Community College Board of Trustees.
German released the following statement announcing his bid for a spot on Western’s board.
Hello Sweetwater County residents, family, friends, and supporters,
I am officially announcing my candidacy for Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) Board of Trustees (School District #2 area). Sweetwater County deserves the best and I am the best candidate. I have been a public servant for 15 years and enjoy giving back to my community. My family moved to Sweetwater County in 2018.
I want to be part of helping make WWCC a place that not only my family can attend, but a place you would want your family to attend as well. WWCC needs a trustee with honor, ethics, and integrity, which I will bring.
The experience I bring:
– Sergeant with the Sweetwater County Sheriff Office
– Worked in law enforcement for 15 years
– Substitute teacher in both SWCSD#1 and SWCSD#2 (Days off)
– Former adjunct instructor
– Police Officer and Standards Training certified instructor
I want you to know that I will represent the residents of this community. I have served on boards in the past and my votes have not always been what I personally wanted. I vote for the people I represent, not for what I personally want. I am part of the Knights of Columbus in Green River and enjoy helping out my community where ever I can. When put in the position to represent you, I plan to vote for what is in your best interest.
Gil German
