ROCK SPRINGS — A Green River man was arrested after allegedly making death threats toward employees working at a local health center this week.
On Wednesday, January 20, at around 6 pm, the Rock Springs Police Department (RSPD) responded to the Community Health Center, located at 2620 Commercial Way, for death threats made toward those inside the clinic. According to the RSPD, when officers arrived at the clinic, they contacted staff and patients who were still inside. Officers then stood by while the employees and patients left the clinic.
The phone number was traced back to a resident in Green River, Wyoming, the RSPD stated. Green River Police Department (GRPD) assisted the RSPD by contacting Wade Marin Prehn. According to the GRPD’s January 21 press release, 46-year-old Prehn was located on Crossbow Drive on January 20 at 6:08 pm and was placed under arrest for terroristic threats. He was then booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
According to Wyoming Statute 6-2-505, the charge of terroristic threats is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 3 years.
The RSPD is still investigating this case. All suspects are presumed innocent until their case has been adjudicated in a court of law.
