GREEN RIVER – After the smoke cleared on Friday night, many teams playoff futures were decided. Green River’s was decided by a coin flip.
After 3A games wrapped up, Green River, Star Valley and Powell all sat tied on top of the 3A West. Star Valley beat Jackson, 49-9 while Powell defeated Cody, 47-21. Powell received the No. 1 seed due to a head-to-head win over Star Valley. Green River lost the coin flip Friday night to drop to the third seed from the West.
The Wolves will open the playoffs on the road as they will travel to face Torrington who finished as the second seed from the east.
4A
Rock Springs was already locked into the third spot at the start of play Friday night but was still unsure who they would face. Kelly Walsh defeated fourth-ranked Laramie, 18-15, to set up a rematch with the Plainsmen. The Tigers will welcome Laramie to Tiger Stadium next Friday to open the 2016 playoffs.
The Tigers beat Laramie in the second week of the season, 29-21.

Using record vs. highest team in the conference not involved in the tie, Natrona gets the #5 seed over Laramie and East, due to having a win vs. Gillette, whereas the other 2 don’t. Laramie gets #6 seed over East due to head-to-head win.
