The Mission statement of Sweetwater County Youth Crisis Center:
The Mission of Youth Home, Inc. is to meet the needs of troubled area youths by providing community-based residential group care. This group care is designed to provide a physically and emotionally healthy atmosphere where the problems of troubled youth and their families can be decreased. Care includes (but not limited to) proper shelter, nutrition, screening, and counseling in a home environment.
After School Program:
The after-school program begins concurrently with the school year and continues until its conclusion, encompassing all educational institutions in Sweetwater County, including summer school sessions. Participation in the after-school program is open to all without specific prerequisites; enrollment operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The program’s school monitor works with up to six kids at a time offering one-on-one assignments and attendance tracking.
Programs:
Crisis Shelter Services: Crisis Shelter Services are for youth and families who are in immediate need of short-term assistance. This may include behavioral intervention, emergency shelter, child protection, and a child in need of supervision.- Group Home Services: Group Home Services are court-ordered placements for youth who need long-term assistance. This may include serious or continuous probation violations, failure to maintain CHINS orders, child protection, and awaiting future court dates or transportation to a higher level of care.
- After-School Program: The After-School Program is available to any youth who may be struggling in school and need assistance. Youth will be taught organizational skills, time management, how to advocate for themselves, and asking for help.
How can you help:
We want to let the community know that the Green River Youth Home has closed, and the Rock Springs Youth Home is working on a plan to expand. We need help from you for that! We are able to accept donations through our website, youthhomeinc.org. Check and cash donations are accepted as well. We accept donations of clothing, hygiene products, or food on a case-by-case basis and ask that people call ahead to see if we are in need before dropping items off at the home.

We would like to thank:
Sweetwater County, the City of Green River, and the Wyoming Department of Family Services for their continued support. We would also like to thank Church & Dwight, Rock Springs Pride, Trona Valley Federal Credit Union, Bittersweet Bombshells, and Wyoming Community Foundation for their recent donations and awarded grants.
