RIVERTON — The Green River High School (GRHS) Lady Wolves went up against the Natrona County Fillies on Saturday in Riverton for the 4A West Regional Championship, in which the Fillies came out on top with a 59-46 win.
The Lady Wolves will head to the state tournament at the West’s number 2 seed.
GRHS beat Jackson Hole 59-30 and Star Vally 34-25 on Thursday to get to the Regional championship game.

In the boys’ bracket, the GRHS Wolves and the Rock Springs High School (RSHS) Tigers battled it out for third and fourth. The matchup resulted in a 59-29 win for the Wolves and the third place finish. The Tigers placed fourth at regionals.
The Wolves will head to state as the number 3 West seed, and the Tigers will go in as the West’s fourth seed.
Earlier in the regional matchups, the Wolves beat Evanston 49-42 and fell to Star Valley 42-33. The Tigers beat Cody 32-26 and just barely fell to Riverton 43-41 on Thursday.

The Lady Wolves, Wolves, and Tigers will all head to Casper next week for the 4A state basketball championship tournament. The tournament will take place Friday and Saturday, March 12 and 13.
