LANDER – Lander’s Wyoming Department of Transportation office will be closed possibly through the remainder of July as repairs continue.

The WYDOT office/shop was damaged March 6 when a vehicle slammed into the side of the building. Work began May 23 on the Lander office structure.

SDI Construction of Lander is the prime contractor on the office repair project.

“Asbestos removal is under way, as well as replacement of flooring,” said Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance engineer Peter Hallsten of Basin. “We appreciate everyone’s patience as the contractor works toward completion of this repair project.”

Business-related communications with Lander WYDOT personnel should be directed to 332-4151. Hallsten expects the Lander building repairs to be complete by mid-August.
