Lyndzie Kroupa Making Strides at Colorado Mesa

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University swept the team titles at the CMU Invite Saturday (March 25).

The men won with 172 points and the women won with 167.5 points.

The Mavericks won 10 events on the day.

Bacall Sterling won the 400 hurdles (1:04.53) and Lyndzie Kroupa was third (1:12.11). McKayla Thomas finished second in the 100 hurdles (15.32).

The Colorado Mesa University track and field teams opened the outdoor season with two provisional qualifying marks and five school records at the Colorado Slope Battle Saturday (March 18).

Both the men (175 points) and women (147.5) won the team titles.

Mekayla Winchester led a podium sweep of the 100 hurdles for CMU winning in a time of 14.67. McKayla Thomas was second (15.33), and Lyndzie Kroupa was third (16.11).
